SpiceJet Resolves $90.8M Dispute with Export Development Canada

SpiceJet, an Indian low-cost carrier, has fully resolved a $90.8 million dispute with Export Development Canada (EDC) by paying a reduced amount of $22.5 million. This settlement grants SpiceJet full ownership of 13 Q400 aircraft, which were previously financed by EDC. The agreement marks a significant milestone for SpiceJet as it moves toward strengthening its asset base and ensuring greater control over its fleet.
