SkyWest Airlines, a leading regional carrier in the United States, has announced two major fleet developments. United Airlines has exercised options to add 10 additional Bombardier CRJ550 regional jets to its fleet operated by SkyWest, bringing the total number of CRJ550s under the partnership to 50 aircraft. Additionally, SkyWest has finalized an agreement with an undisclosed regional carrier to purchase 29 used CRJ900 airframes for a combined value of $28 million.
