Air Austral, the flag carrier based in Réunion, has expanded its long-haul capacity by wet-leasing an Airbus A340-300from Hi Fly Malta, a specialist in ACMI and charter operations. The aircraft, registered 9H-TQZ and bearing manufacturer serial number 202, began operating flights on behalf of Air Austral on July 2, 2025, with an inaugural service from Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to St. Denis de la Réunion.
