SkyWest Expands Fleet with CRJ550 and E175 Aircraft Under United Airlines Partnership
SkyWest Airlines, a regional U.S. carrier, has entered a multi-year agreement with United Airlines to bolster its fleet with 40 CRJ550 aircraft. This deal includes SkyWest acquiring 11 used CRJ550s and converting 29 of its existing CRJ700s to the CRJ550 configuration, an industry-first regional jet model tailored to provide a spacious, enhanced passenger experience. Additionally, SkyWest recently took delivery of nine Embraer E175s, which were financed through a partnership with United, further solidifying SkyWest’s strategic role in United’s regional network.
