Icelandair has taken delivery of an Airbus A321neo, further advancing its fleet renewal efforts. The aircraft, manufacturer serial number (MSN) 12359, is registered as TF-IAB and is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1133G-JM engines. This addition marks another step in Icelandair’s strategy to phase out older aircraft and modernize its narrowbody fleet.
SalamAir, the low-cost carrier based in Oman, has announced that its next Airbus A321neo, with serial number 12631, will be delivered in July 2025. This aircraft, powered by LEAP-1A engines, will increase the airline’s total fleet to 15 aircraft. In addition, the airline expects delivery of three more Airbus A320neos in early 2026, marking another phase of its fleet expansion strategy.
SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) has taken delivery of a new Airbus A320neo, bearing serial number 12665, equipped with LEAP-1A26 engines from CFM International. The aircraft represents another milestone in SAS’s commitment to sustainability and fleet modernization.
SolitAir, a UAE-based airline, has commenced daily scheduled flights between Dubai and Riyadh as of 04 December 2024. The flights are being operated with a Boeing 737-800F, enhancing cargo connectivity between two major economic hubs in the Gulf region.
Mauritania Airlines has commenced operations with an Airbus A321, manufacturer serial number (MSN) 3522, under a wet lease agreement with SmartLynx Airlines, a Latvia-based ACMI and charter provider. This new lease replaces a previously operated Airbus A320, MSN 3880, which was returned to the same lessor.
China Southern Airlines, one of China’s largest carriers, has taken delivery of a new Airbus A321neo, bearing serial number 12569, marking another addition to its growing fleet of new-generation narrowbody aircraft. The aircraft is powered by LEAP-1A32 engines, developed by CFM International.
