Wizz Air Reduces Aircraft Groundings Amid GTF Engine Inspections
Wizz Air Holdings, based in Hungary, reported that as of September 30, 2024, it had 41 aircraft on the ground due to ongoing GTF engine-related inspections. This figure marks an improvement over the initial forecast for fiscal 2025, attributed to the expedited induction of quick-turn engines. Wizz Air anticipates an average of 40-45 grounded aircraft over the next 18 months as engine inspections continue.
