Ukraine to Restart Flights by January 2025

Ukraine is preparing to resume flights as early as January 2025, with two key airports — Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport and Boryspil International Airport — identified as possible hubs to reopen first. Both locations are strategically significant, with Boryspil near the capital Kyiv and Lviv situated in the western part of the country, which has seen less conflict-related disruption. The reopening could mark a crucial step in restoring Ukraine’s connectivity with the rest of the world after the lengthy period of airspace closure due to ongoing security concerns stemming from regional conflicts.
