Vietjet To Transfer 50 B737 MAX Aircraft To Thai Affiliate

Vietjet, the Vietnamese low-cost airline, has signed a cooperation agreement with Boeing to transfer 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to its Thai subsidiary, Thai Vietjet Air. The aircraft are part of a larger order of 200 units originally placed in 2022, aimed at supporting Vietjet’s ambitious regional growth strategy.

Thai VietJet Air has expanded its fleet capacity for the Lunar New Year holiday season by wet-leasing two Airbus A320-200 aircraft from Avion Express, a leading Lithuanian ACMI provider. The additional aircraft are expected to support the airline in handling increased passenger traffic during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
