Lufthansa Cargo has announced a strategic collaboration with IndiGo CarGo to establish a new Dhaka–Los Angeles cargo corridor, enhancing connectivity between South Asia and North America. Under this agreement, IndiGo CarGo operates a dedicated Airbus A321 freighter from Dhaka (DAC) via Kolkata (CCU) to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), where the cargo is then transferred onto Lufthansa’s transpacific freighter service to Los Angeles (LAX).
Air Astra, a private airline based in Bangladesh, has issued a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) for the acquisition or lease of up to four Airbus A320 or A321 aircraft, with delivery targeted by the end of 2025. The carrier is open to dry lease or outright purchase arrangements, depending on the terms offered by potential lessors or sellers.
Novoair (Bangladesh) continues its efforts to lease three A320 aircraft as part of its expansion strategy. However, the airline anticipates that the process may take up to another year due to the ongoing global shortage of available aircraft.
