Uzbekistan Airways and AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines have entered into a new codeshare agreement, strengthening bilateral air connectivity and expanding travel options between the two nations. The agreement allows each airline to sell seats on select flights operated by the other, enabling more seamless passenger transfers and improved scheduling flexibility.
AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines has announced ambitious expansion plans, with expectations to introduce more than 30 new-generation aircraft into its fleet. This large-scale fleet renewal is supported by signed agreements with aircraft manufacturers and leasing companies, aligning with the airline’s long-term modernization strategy.
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued a warning to airlines, advising them to avoid flying over certain Russian cities. This advisory comes in the wake of a fatal incident involving an AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines E190, which was reportedly shot down by Russian forces.
