South African Airways Adds Wet-Leased B737-800 from SunExpress
South African Airways (SAA) has expanded its operational capacity by adding a Boeing 737-800 on a wet lease from Turkish carrier SunExpress. The aircraft, serial number 61333, TC-SOC, which first flew in 2017, is equipped with CFM56-7B26E engines, a power choice known for its reliability and efficiency in the single-aisle market. The wet lease arrangement means that SunExpress will provide both the aircraft and the crew, allowing SAA to increase flight frequencies and service reliability without needing to invest in additional in-house resources.
