Skymark Postpones B737-8 Deliveries to 2Q 2026 Due to Delays

Skymark Airlines, based in Japan, has announced a delay in the start of delivery for six leased Boeing 737-8 aircraft, now expected to arrive after the first quarter of 2026 due to production delays. Despite this setback, Skymark’s plans to purchase an additional three B737-8s and three B737-10s for delivery in fiscal 2026-27 remain on schedule. The airline is actively managing its fleet strategy to accommodate these delays, with lease extensions for current aircraft considered as a contingency if further delays arise with the B737 MAX series.
