China Southern to Auction Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners

China Southern Airlines has officially launched an online auction for several of its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, marking a strategic move to phase out older, less efficient widebody aircraft from its fleet. The auction, which will remain open until September 25, 2025, is hosted on the Shanghai United Assets and Equity Exchange and includes aircraft delivered between 2013 and 2014, each powered by General Electric GEnx engines. The offering also comes with two spare engines, increasing its value to potential buyers.
