EVA Air, Taiwan’s prominent international carrier, has released its October 2024 traffic results, showcasing a mixed performance. Passenger numbers rose by 2.6% year-over-year to 1.0 million, reflecting steady demand. However, the airline reported a 3.7% decline in revenue passenger kilometers (RPKs), signaling reduced distance traveled by paying customers.

Aircastle (US) has completed the delivery of its first Boeing 737-9 MAX to United Airlines (US), marking the start of a series of six planned deliveries in 2024 and 2025. This aircraft is the first of the new MAX 9s that will join United’s growing fleet as part of its ongoing modernization and expansion efforts.
United Airlines has further expanded its fleet with the recent delivery of one B787-9, serial number 37449, equipped with GEnx-1B76A engines, along with two A321neo aircraft, serial numbers 12101 and 12175, both powered by PW1133G-JM engines. These additions mark a significant enhancement in United’s capabilities, supporting its strategy to serve long-haul and domestic routes with modern, efficient aircraft.
Air Albania (Albania) has taken delivery of one Boeing B737-800, bearing serial number 40880, through a wet lease agreement with SkyUp Airlines (Ukraine). The aircraft is powered by CFM56-7B26E engines, reinforcing the airline’s narrowbody fleet.
SWISS concluded 2024 with a strong operating profit of US$828 million, supported by total annual revenues of US$6.7 billion. The fourth quarter alone contributed US$216 million in operating profit on US$1.69 billion in revenue, capping a successful financial year for the carrier.
