Air Belgium Ends ACMI Agreement with LOT, Transfers A330neo to Azul

After a one-year ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) agreement, Air Belgium and LOT Polish Airlines have ended their collaboration involving an Airbus A330neo. This aircraft, serial number 1844, was based in Warsaw under Air Belgium’s operation for LOT’s long-haul services. Following this transition, the A330neo is slated for redelivery to its lessor, Air Lease Corporation in the U.S., for future leasing to Brazilian airline Azul. This move reflects Air Belgium’s operational shift amid changes in the competitive European airline leasing market, as leasing arrangements often enable airlines to address seasonal fluctuations and expand route options with minimal upfront costs.
