Vietnam Airlines has taken delivery of a leased Airbus A320neo aircraft, marking another step in its fleet modernization strategy. The aircraft, identified by serial number 12253, is powered by PW1124G1-JM engines, manufactured by Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aviation propulsion systems.
Surinam Airways has announced an extension of its leased A340-600 service on the Paramaribo (PBM) to Amsterdam (AMS) route. The flights, operated by USC (Germany), will continue until January 29, 2025, ensuring seamless connectivity between Suriname and the Netherlands.

Alaska Airlines has expanded its narrowbody fleet with the recent delivery of a Boeing B737-9, bearing manufacturer serial number 68519. The aircraft is powered by LEAP-1B28 engines, further aligning with the airline’s modernization strategy centered on efficiency and commonality.
IndiGo, India’s largest airline by fleet size, has announced plans to explore the earlier introduction of widebody aircraft into its operations to meet growing passenger demand. According to industry sources, the airline is reportedly in discussions with Norse Atlantic Airways, a Norwegian carrier, to wet lease six Boeing 787s.
