SpiceJet, a leading Indian low-cost carrier, has augmented its fleet by wet-leasing a Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Corendon Airlines Malta. This strategic move aims to bolster SpiceJet’s operational capacity and meet the increasing demand for air travel.
IndiGo (India) has taken delivery of a Boeing 737-800, serial 39412, on wet lease from Corendon Airlines (Turkiye). The aircraft, powered by CFM56-7B26 engines, has been introduced to support IndiGo’s operational needs amid ongoing fleet expansion efforts.
IndiGo (India) is accelerating its international expansion by planning flights to major European destinations, including London Heathrow, Amsterdam, and Paris CDG, ahead of its previously set 2027 launch date. The airline intends to utilize six wet-leased B787-9 aircraft for these long-haul routes.
Air India Express has taken delivery of three A320neo aircraft, with serial numbers 11780, 11844, and 11705. All three aircraft are on lease and are powered by LEAP-1A26 engines, signifying the airline’s commitment to expanding and modernizing its fleet.
