A Boeing 747 freighter operated by Air ACT, a Turkish cargo carrier flying on behalf of Emirates SkyCargo, was involved in a serious runway excursion at Hong Kong International Airport following its arrival from Dubai. The aircraft veered off the runway after touchdown, colliding with a ground service vehicle before coming to rest partially in the adjacent sea area.

Hong Kong Express experienced an incident involving an Airbus A320-232, registered B-LCI, operating flight UO235from Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). The aircraft landed on Runway 07L on 8 September, during which it briefly veered onto an unpaved surface and was observed with smoke emanating from the landing gear.
