CAA Bangladesh Enforces License Renewal Freeze for Airlines With Outstanding Dues

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAA) has announced stringent measures to recover outstanding dues from airlines, with a total of $639.4 million owed by six domestic carriers. Among the defaulters are three airlines that ceased operations several years ago, as well as active carriers, with Biman Bangladesh Airlines holding the largest share of the debt.

Biman Bangladesh Issues RFP for ACMI Lease of Two Aircraft

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) lease arrangements for two narrowbody aircraft. The lease period will run from April 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025, coinciding with the airline’s peak operational season.
