MTU Maintenance Zhuhai (China) has entered into a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) agreement with All Nippon Airways (ANA) (Japan) for the CFM56-7B engines that power its fleet of 47 Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft. The partnership further strengthens MTU’s presence in the Asian aviation market, reinforcing its expertise in engine MRO services.
Air India has finalized its comprehensive aircraft order with Airbus, comprising a total of 350 aircraft. The order includes 210 A321neo, 90 A320neo, 25 A350-900, and 25 A350-1000 models. The airline converted approximately $795 million of funded debt into equity, significantly lowering its leverage and improving its financial flexibility.
China United Airlines has expanded its fleet with the delivery of a B737-800, bearing serial number 37888. The aircraft is on lease and is powered by CFM56-7B26 engines, which are renowned for their efficiency and reliability in short- and medium-haul operations.
Emirates, the Dubai-based flag carrier, has announced a 20% rise in profit before tax, totaling $5.8 billion for the fiscal year ending 31 March 2025. This robust performance was supported by a 6% increase in revenue, which reached $34.9 billion, alongside a solid cash reserve of $13.5 billion.
