Ryanair Challenges €179M Fine in Spain and Loses Irish Legal Appeal

Ryanair has called on Spain’s Minister for Social Rights, Consumption, and Agenda 2030, Pablo Bustinduy, to “respect EU legislation” that guarantees airlines the freedom to set fares. This demand follows the imposition of a €179 million fine on Ryanair and other low-cost carriers for allegedly abusive pricing practices, including fees for carry-on baggage and seat selection.
