Air Wisconsin (US) has announced a strategic realignment aimed at strengthening its focus on Essential Air Service (EAS) markets and expanding its charter operations. Effective April 2025, the airline will transition its relationship with American Airlines (US) to a codeshare and interline agreement, marking a shift from its previous operational model.

China Eastern Airlines, one of China’s largest carriers, has accepted the delivery of an Airbus A321neo aircraft, identified by manufacturer serial number (MSN) 12399. The aircraft is powered by CFM International LEAP-1A32 engines, which offer significant reductions in fuel burn, noise, and CO₂ emissions compared to previous-generation narrowbody aircraft.
Qantas (Australia) has announced that it expects to take delivery of its first Airbus A321XLR in April 2025. This aircraft is part of an order for 28 A321XLRs, supporting the airline’s long-term fleet modernization strategy, which includes replacing its Boeing 737 fleet over the next decade. Additionally, Qantas anticipates the arrival of its fifth Airbus A220 by the end of 2024.
Aegean Airlines anticipates continued operational disruptions from GTF engine problems for at least another two years, extending into 2027. The airline projects that the peak of these challenges will occur in 2026, when up to 13 or 14 aircraft may be grounded simultaneously due to Pratt & Whitney’s PW1000G engine reliability issues.
HAECO (Hong Kong) has announced a new maintenance partnership with SF Airlines (China) to conduct C-checkson the carrier’s fleet of Boeing 747 freighters (B747F). The checks will be carried out at HAECO’s state-of-the-art facilities in Hong Kong, further strengthening the MRO provider’s foothold in the cargo maintenance segment.
