Breeze Airways (US) has announced plans to operate its Embraer E190/E195 fleet until mid-2026, after which the carrier will shift its focus to the A220 aircraft. While the Embraer jets will continue serving regular routes for the next few years, they will eventually be retained exclusively for charter operations before being completely phased out.
Tim Clark, president of Emirates, has reaffirmed his belief in the Airbus A380 as a “compelling” aircraft for certain airlines, emphasizing its unique capacity and operational advantages. Clark has also suggested that a modernized versionof the A380 could be up to 25% more fuel-efficient, making it a viable option for future operators.
Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), the leading regional aircraft lessor based in Ireland, has finalized its acquisition by Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) following shareholder approval. This strategic acquisition was first announced last month and has now been officially ratified, marking a significant expansion for DAE into the regional aircraft leasing market.
ASL Airlines Ireland is set to reintroduce the Airbus A330 to its fleet, marking a return to widebody cargo operations. The Dublin-based carrier will soon begin operating two A330-300P2F (passenger-to-freighter conversion) aircraft, both powered by CF6 engines, under an ACMI service agreement with Saudia Cargo.
BRA Braathens Regional Airways (Sweden) has officially taken delivery of one Airbus A319, further strengthening its fleet. The aircraft, identified by serial number 3346, is leased and powered by CFM56-5B6/3 engines, supplied by CFM International.
Air Canada is set to further strengthen its narrowbody fleet as it prepares to take delivery of a new Airbus A220-300 featuring the manufacturer’s serial number 55471 and Canadian registration C-FHGE.
