Flydubai Orders GEnx-1B Engines For Boeing 787-9 Fleet

flydubai has taken a major strategic step in its long-term expansion plans by signing an agreement with GE Aerospacefor 60 GEnx-1B engines to power its future fleet of Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The deal, announced at the Dubai Airshow 2025, also includes spare engines and a long-term services package, reinforcing the airline’s transition into widebody operations for the first time since its establishment in 2008.
