Air New Zealand Posts $126M FY Profit Amid Engine Struggles

Air New Zealand has reported a net profit of $126 million for the financial year ending June, representing a decline from the $146 million achieved in the prior year. The fall in profitability was driven largely by prolonged engine maintenance challenges, which left as many as 11 aircraft grounded at peak times, significantly straining operations and highlighting the central role of engine reliability in airline economics.
