Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, has finalized an agreement with Boeing for the purchase of 12 B787 aircraft, with options for six additional units. Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent company of Malaysia Airlines, has officially exercised its purchase rights for 20 Airbus A330-900 aircraft. These widebody jets are slated for delivery between 2029 and 2031, as part of the group’s long-term fleet renewal strategy.

China Airlines of Taiwan is reportedly close to finalizing a decision to split its upcoming multi-billion-dollar order for 20 widebody aircraft between Boeing’s B777X and Airbus’ A350-1000. This order is aimed at replacing the airline’s 10 aging B777-300ERs while also providing additional capacity for projected growth in passenger demand.
