Delta Air Lines Orders Airbus A330neo And A350 Aircraft, confirming a firm commitment for 31 next-generation widebody jets as part of its long-term international fleet strategy. The order consists of 16 Airbus A330-900 aircraft and 15 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, further strengthening Delta’s widebody portfolio and reinforcing its strategic relationship with Airbus.
Condor has expanded its widebody order book with a new purchase of four Airbus A330-900 aircraft, bringing its total commitment to the A330neo program to 25 aircraft by the year 2031. The airline, which currently operates 18 A330neos, expects to receive three additional units by the end of 2027, followed by the newly ordered four over the subsequent years.
Saudia Group has signed a significant aircraft acquisition deal with Airbus, committing to the addition of up to 20 A330neo widebody aircraft to support the group’s long-term fleet expansion plans. Of these, 10 are firm orders allocated to flyadeal, the group’s low-cost subsidiary. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027 and conclude by 2029.
Malaysia Airlines’ newly inducted A330neo continues to face challenges as it has been grounded for an additional 48 hours due to persistent technical issues. The aircraft, which recently made its inaugural flight to Melbourne, has been plagued by operational disruptions that have raised concerns about its immediate reliability.
