Air Algerie, Algeria’s national airline, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sonatrach Holding, the country’s state-owned oil and gas conglomerate, to facilitate the transfer of ownership of Tassili Airlines. The agreement focuses on consolidating external and support aviation activities, indicating a broader restructuring within Algeria’s state-owned enterprises.
The Russian government is reportedly considering a transfer of GTLK (State Transport Leasing Company) to VEB.RF, the national development corporation. Currently, GTLK is jointly owned by the country’s Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Finance.
MASwings, a Malaysian regional airline, is set to transition its ownership to the Sarawak regional government by December 31, 2024. This move involves a formal sale from Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), marking a significant milestone in the airline’s operational history. The ownership transfer process is expected to span nine months following the sale.
