Air Canada And CUPE Enter Mediation After Deal Rejected
Air Canada and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) are moving to mediation after union members voted against a tentative agreement covering the airline’s 10,000 flight attendants. The proposed deal, reached on August 19, 2025, was achieved without concessions from the union and included improvements to wages, pensions, and benefits, as well as modernization of compensation for ground duties.
