EgyptAir, the national carrier of Egypt, has taken delivery of a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, expanding its fleet with a state-of-the-art long-haul aircraft. The aircraft, registered as SU-GFZ, is powered by Trent 1000-J3 engines, renowned for their efficiency and reliability in long-haul operations.

This partnership aims to bolster EgyptAir M&E’s capabilities in engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services while expanding its influence in the Middle East aviation market.

EgyptAir Holding Company, under the leadership of chairman Yehia Zakaria, has unveiled ambitious plans to expand its fleet to 125 aircraft over the next five years. The airline’s growth strategy aligns with its target to serve 22 million passengers annually by 2028.
