Brussels Airlines, the flag carrier of Belgium, has announced the appointment of Filip Aerts as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a member of the Management Board, effective 01 August 2025. Aerts will succeed Tilman Reinshagen, who is leaving the Lufthansa Group to pursue other opportunities.

Akasa Air has announced the appointment of Belson Coutinho as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective January 6, 2025. In his role, Coutinho will oversee critical operational functions, including Inflight Services, Airport Services, Maintenance & Engineering, Flight Operations, Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC), and Operational Excellence. Additionally, he will lead the Akasa Air Learning Academy, focusing on training and development initiatives for the airline’s workforce.
