Aegean Airlines has revealed plans to launch nonstop flights from Athens to Delhi and Mumbai starting March 2026, utilizing its newly acquired Airbus A321XLR aircraft. The two jets were purchased from JetBlue and Airbus, and they will retain the premium-heavy 24 business and 114 economy seat layout previously used by JetBlue on its transatlantic operations.
Starflyer, the Japanese premium low-cost carrier, has officially taken delivery of a brand-new Airbus A320neo, expanding its all-A320 fleet. The aircraft, registered JA30MC, carries manufacturer serial number (MSN) 12649 and is an A320-251N variant powered by CFM International LEAP-1A engines.
MUFG, a leading Japanese financial group, has completed a $106 million finance lease transaction with IndiGo, India’s largest airline by market share. The agreement spans 12 years and is secured by two brand-new Airbus A321neoaircraft. This long-term lease reflects continued confidence in IndiGo’s growth trajectory and underscores the strategic role of finance leasing in supporting fleet modernization.
