China Eastern Airlines has taken delivery of two significant additions to its narrowbody fleet: one Airbus A321neo, serial 12657, and one COMAC C919, serial 00033. The A321neo is powered by LEAP-1A32 engines, while the C919 is equipped with LEAP-1C28 engines, both manufactured by CFM International.
China Eastern Airlines has received another COMAC C919, bearing serial number 00033, powered by LEAP-1C28 engines, underscoring its role as the launch customer and leading operator of China’s first domestically developed narrowbody jet. The delivery continues the airline’s incremental fleet expansion with the C919 as it aims to diversify from Western-built aircraft and strengthen national aerospace capabilities.
