Airbus Sees 5% Revenue Growth in 9M 2024, Despite Lower Net Income

Airbus has released its financial results for the first nine months of 2024, reporting consolidated revenues of $48.1 billion, a 5% year-on-year increase driven by strong commercial aircraft demand. This growth reflects continued recovery in the global aviation market, where Airbus recorded gross commercial orders totaling 667 aircraft, underscoring sustained demand from airlines looking to modernize and expand their fleets. However, despite the revenue uptick, Airbus’s net income fell by 22% to $1.95 billion, impacted by increased production costs and ongoing supply chain challenges.
