Asia Pacific Airlines See Growth in Passenger and Cargo Markets in September 2024

In September 2024, Asia Pacific airlines experienced substantial growth in both international passenger and cargo traffic, according to the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA). International passenger numbers rose by 18.8% year-on-year, totaling 29.2 million, nearly reaching pre-pandemic levels at 97.5% of September 2019 volumes. Revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) showed a 19.3% increase, fueled by high demand for long-haul travel, with the average passenger load factor reaching 80.5%.
