Etihad Airways is preparing to expand its next-generation widebody fleet with the delivery of a new Airbus A350-1000, further strengthening its long-haul capabilities and reinforcing Abu Dhabi as a global aviation hub. The aircraft, carrying manufacturer serial number 743, is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, among the most powerful and efficient turbofans currently in commercial service. These engines provide lower fuel burn, reduced emissions, and quieter operations, aligning with Etihad’s broader sustainability strategy.
